If a disaster strikes, will we be ready? Let's be honest and admit that global warming is a real problem! That's why many architects are trying to find suitable, ecological emergency solutions. We'd like to present you a luxury project of the Russian architect Alexander Remizov. What makes it unique?
"The Ark is an attempt to respond to the challenges of our time." Ecology has a green light here.
The concept of the Ark building arose from the International Union of Architects programme Architecture for disaster relief. It was created by a team of designers and architects from the Remistudio.
The building is exceptional in that it can be built in places threatened by frequent earthquakes, floods or tidal waves. The construction, resembling a snail or a conch, can easily withstand gusts of wind thanks to its unique shape which lacks any edges. In addition, the dome form promotes the creation of air turbulence and provides support for the work of wind generators. The inner part is able, in a manner of speaking, to live its own life. It uses a self-sufficient system resembling an artificial biosphere. The surface of the dome is made of an ethylene-tetrafluoroethylene film and contributes to daylight transmission. And while you might expect to find something other than a huge amount of greenery inside the building, it is very useful. Its purpose is to produce oxygen and give the interior a modern, luxurious touch. The design uses solar panels and a rainwater collection system to provide residents with electricity and water. Any environmentalists would jump for joy!.

The floating visionary object will not only reach an impressive size of 14,000 square meters, but it will also have an underwater base. The building could accommodate hundreds of people. In case of emergency, it could be alternatively used on land. Do you long to know how much such a luxury would cost? So far, everything is in the development phase and the search for an appropriate investor underway. We'll have to wait and see.
