New York Bridal Fashion Week revealed new trends for 2020. Which three designers captivated us with their Spring 2020 collections? The romantic Vera Wang, elegant Oscar de la Renta, and Galia Lahav's collection overflowing with lace.
The most luxurious collection to be seen at the Bridal Fashion Week was definitely the one by Galia Lahav. The Israeli designer presented a brilliant take on lace in New York. Without this element, the Spring 2020 collection just wouldn't be the same. The luxurious models are characterized most prominently by long trains, off-the-shoulder sleeves, form-fitting cuts and teasing slits.
Another godly collection was presented by Oscar de la Renta. The American brand played with lengths, silhouettes and cuts. This brought about not only corset dresses with voluminous skirts and other classics, but elegant jumpsuits or sexy mini-dresses too. And the iconic white? That one stays, of course!
Designer Vera Wang presented a no less brilliant collection. Unlike Oscar de la Renta, she swapped elegance for romance and introduced a wide range of delicate models. If you want to turn into a delicate fairy for your special day, go for one of these pieces in sweet pink, light green, or the traditional white or ivory.
Will you be saying your I DO next year? Then it's the ideal time to start looking for inspiration - it's more than luxurious this year!
Every one of us has probably been to a wedding fair at least once, even just to have a look. I remember it like it was yesterday, I was about seventeen years old and we did it as a girls' day out of sorts, taking a trip to the Diplomat hotel for the largest wedding fair in our country. It was a great disappointment though, because when it comes to style, a hard to please bride won't find anything she likes in the Czech Republic even these days.
Her bridal collection is innovative, unique, and moreover, doesn't lack a great deal of sex appeal. Personally I fell in love with a corset dress sporting a flowing A-line skirt. Beautiful execution, plus it's definitely a model that won't seem dated in your wedding photo album even after a long time.
Classical elegance without needless experimentation. That's the typical stamp of Oscar de la Renta. Personally I'm enthralled by the wedding jumpsuit. The huge bow in the back gradually merging into a weddingtrain is ingenious. An absolute winner for me!
If you are among the brides that feel driven up the wall by snow-white dresses in classical cuts, we've got a non-traditional take on weddings from Vera Wang. Personally I was most captivated by the white dress with a transparent corset, decorated with huge blue-grey flowers. Definitely a piece that can sport the "Against The Mainstream" title.
