When visiting ABBA: The Museum, you won’t be bored for even a minute. Before you step inside, four silhouettes of the four main representatives of the group – Agnethy, Anni-Fryd, Benny and Björn await you at the entrance, so you could see how their body would suit you. And what next? To fun and beyond!
If you’re among lovers of fashion, you will feel like you’re in heaven at the museum. You’ll see displayed luxurious outfits from music videos and performances, among which are the iconic velvet and silk outfits with silver decorations from the music video Waterloo.
The museum also offers a luxurious view into make-up rooms containing all the necessary paraphernalia. Hair spray, perfume, Combs, and even a cups of coffee or a glasses of champagne aren’t missing!
Do you like adrenalin and are you an extrovert? Try and perform one of the most successful hits by ABBA right on stage! You will see the lyrics of the song on a screen in front of you and suggested dance moves will be projected on the floor below. During this fun activity, you’ll exercise not only your voice chords, but your muscles as well. Which song won my vote? The fantastic and immortal hit, Mamma Mia.
If you don’t dare to go on stage, don’t worry. You can choose another, more private option, which I tried out as well. In curtained booths you can pick your chosen song and you can sing it with the help of lyrics that run on the screen. You won’t be let off so easy here either... At the end of your performance the device will rate you, and if you sang falsely, you’re in for a treat. You won’t reach a ten most likely. But don’t despair, you won’t be alone. I’ll tactfully keep my score to myself.
An exhibition of released albums, wax figures of the main performers, iconic items including the electric guitar from the music video Waterloo, or a shop with souvenirs. Full entry is currently at 250SEK, which is approximately 628 Kč (Czech crowns). Are you planning a trip to Stockholm, then don’t miss out on ABBA: The Museum. It will stay in your memory for a long time.
