The luxury multi-genre international music festival, held every year since 2002, has been organised for the last six years in the surroundings of Dolní Vítkovice in Ostrava. If you have participated this year, you must have noticed the amazing H&M Block, where you could have enjoyed a lot of fun and also meet famous celebrities. How did the creative production proceed, what are all things you could have experienced and whom could you meet? You will find all that out.
A fashion brand that is recently seen perhaps everywhere, is beginning to be widely recognised. And the act that the luxury brand means its sustainable approach to fashion seriously could be seen perfectly at the H&M Block in Ostrava. It was a perfect haven of peace, thinking about doing something good for our beautiful planet, where the main role is played by drink straws made of metal and upcycle workshops with t-shirts, for which people no longer have any use. The T-shirts were donated to the workshops by H&M employees themselves; from private sources. In total there were five thousand. Visitors then cut up the T-shirts into thin long strips from which they made ropes on special machines. Of those they then created various coloured bracelets, headbands, belts and other fashion accessories. Some of the shirts were also used to decorate the entire Block. It is little wonder that such an event has also attracted famous celebrities.
What did many festival visitors tempt in addition to the production of T-shirts and metal straws were also beautiful women from among prominent personalities. You could have met them in the recycling zone, in relaxation areas where they tasted delicious meals from Tommy's Food Truck or at the bar with a drink and a metal a straw. Among the celebrities also appeared Zorka Hejdová, Renata Langmannová, Klára Vytisková, Terezie Kovalová, Iva Pazderková, Nikola Čechová alias Shopaholic Nicol, sisters Ehrenbergers alias ACupofStyle, Nicole Moravcová, Lukáš Hejlík, Kateřina Kaira Hrachovcová, Radka and Tomáš Třeštíkovi, music group Trosky, Vladivojna La Chia, Boris Carloff and many others.
The luxurious H&M Block has appeared at the Ostrava festival since 2016, but the beginning was on a much smaller scale. A turnaround happened last year. H&M Block had to hand a far larger area, interesting luxurious furnishings, food, DJ and other attractions. There was of course the UPCYCLE corner, where many diaries were made, as well as wallets, and other accessories.
This year was focused mainly on fashion accessories thus providing all that goes hand in hand with a festival. The visitors were able to keep their original accessories which will keep on being useful as well as beautiful. And what awaits us the next year? Let´s wait and be surprised, but it will certainly be well worth it!
Keep our planet in mind with the luxurious H&M brand!
