Almost the entire Haute Couture collection consist of voluminous and bold garments, and like the Haute Couture SS 2018 collection, the one for AW 2018 features gigantic head accessories. This time they did not take the form of feather hats, but rather meadows in blossom.
A walk through a flower garden, business lunch with demanding clients or the most luxurious soiree with champagne in hand. The Haute Couture AW 2018 features outfits for every occasion and offers both voluminous evening gowns and a few less opulent items.
Garments of striking structure and colour alternate with minimalist outfits, earthy tones are livened up by bright green, red, purple, yellow, blue and pink, and matte replaces gloss combined with staggering sparkle. All summed up, a luxurious show with beauty surmounting beauty. One can only remain in awe over the AW 2018 collection!
Our clear favourite is the luxurious red and silver gown with gold applique, in which you’ll be the star of every party. The maxi hair volume adds sensuality to the entire look, resulting in a breath-taking vamp style that every man will succumb to and many women will be envious of.
Among others, the luxurious Valentino fashion show featured Cindy Crawford’s daughter Kaia Gerber, who recently became the face of the Omega Trésor watch. The model, who is only sixteen years old and is rarely missing at the most prestigious shows of global fashion weeks, confirmed again that she is successfully following in the footsteps of her beautiful mother, an iconic legend of the 1990s. The foundations have been laid, now it’s a matter of staying in the limelight. Good luck!
It’s almost unbelievable, but recently, Haute Couture has as a whole become wearable fashion. I admit that’s not the case with every designer and I’m not talking about entire collections. But the Valentino fashion house offers entirely wearable items, which could then be said to originate from Haute Couture. Procuring them, however, is another matter…
The first item that appealed to me was the pale pink dress which a sort of red cape with tassels sewn to the upper part. Yes, I know it’s one of the less striking outfits, but because I constantly suffer from the feeling that I’m cold, it is ideal for me. You might know the feeling: you’re strolling around the lawn at a friend’s garden party one summer evening, and suddenly you start shivering with cold. What now? Nothing, you won’t be cold in a dress that is a sort of 2 in 1 gown and shawl.
Naturally, I have to mention one of the more pompous gowns! I would definitely go for the red-grey-gold dress with a bull and virgin… with a deep neckline. That is truly gorgeous and rather unusual with the motif. I like that.
