The Guess brand prepared several luxury outfits created to fit the occasion of world festivals and places where they are held. Which destinations inspired the Italian brand? Primavera Sound Barcelona in exotic Spain, Festival Glastonbury in the United Kingdom and Lollapalooza in neighbouring Berlin.
The Spanish festival which each year welcomes over one hundred thousand visitors is renowned for its eclectic programme and emphasis on independent and alternative music. If you want to turn into a temperamental beauty clad in wild red in combination with romantic lace and rebelliously torn jeans, then this luxury outfit is the right one for you.
The English town of Pilton has been for almost 50 years the venue of one of the biggest festivals in the world. Glastonbury takes place at the end of June, hosting world-famous artists and bands. In the past U2, Led Zepplin, The Cure, Oasis, Coldplay, Bruce Springsteen, David Bowie or Paul McCartney all performed here.
The luxurious outfit created by Guess, is in the traditional English spirit and hit the nail right on the head! The fresh summer colours of the stylish off-shoulder tunic and the handbag with a chain and tassel just have the right dose of zest. This is exactly how we envisage the perfect festival outfit, the English style.
The two-day festival takes place at the beginning of September and offers luxurious fun for all supporters of popular rock, heavy metal, punk rock, hip-hop and electro. Originally it took place only in the USA but since 2010 it began to expand into other countries, too.
And what model by Guess encapsulates Lollapalooza? A bohemian maxi dress with cut-outs, strappy sandals and stylish sunglasses. After all, after a night out they will come really handy!
The Guess brand in my opinion hit the bull´s eye with the current atmosphere and trend of open-air festivals and other summer events. Sometimes I have the feeling that nowadays who doesn´t organise some marathon, music festival, or a film festival, as if doesn´t exist.
But enough about events, let us focus on fashion! Given my temperament, Spain appeals to me the most. So I am head over heels with the fluorescent green blouse with flared sleeves, sexy black shorts, the hoops and vibrantly-coloured handbag. Only those boots I would leave out. Yes, I know that there is mud at festival and that gumboots are useful, but I would rather be knee-deep in mud than this!
I like the lacy kind of bra top in combination with shorts - super! Only why don´t we see girls dressed like this for example at Prague Majáles?
Thumbs down this time for the Berlin look: a long dress with ruffles at the sides. Who wants to look like an old spinster on the go? No one
