Simona Krainová

Anything that happens around Simona Krainová is instantly surrounded by a crowd of journalists. This was also the case at an event where she introduced her new product, which is also intended for four-legged pets. Her life is followed not only by fans on social networks, and they often feel the need to comment on everything. However, Simona revealed to us that one such comment did not go without police intervention. How it all ended, how she remembers the nineties, and how she perceives winter and Christmas, take a look at our interview.

Simona Krainová

Simona, you have introduced a new product for your brand. I'm interested in knowing which product has changed your life?

Exactly that's where it all started. I had a body product that I started using 20 years ago in Paris, or actually 30 years ago. It was shea butter, as the French call it, and people would apply it. I really loved it and always returned to it. No matter what kind of body product I used. I could not find anything on our market that was smooth and spreadable, because the shea butter is still kind of weird consistency and I got bored of it. I've been thinking for several years that I would need to find someone who could make this butter according to my imagination. I don't belong to those types of so-called famous people who have something brought from China and then they rebrand it.

I really, when I do something, I want it to be quality and to be mine.

So I found someone like that a year and a half ago and I made something according to my own recipe. Now it has arrived and I am glad that it is here, because it is such a multifunctional thing, which is not only for the body, but I also use it for the face and hair. It's not just for women, but also for men. I probably have the first shea butter, which is also for men with a scent of cedar wood. I also have shea butter for puppies, for pets on their snouts and paws. For children, for babies, for stretch marks, for pregnant women, so I made such a line where everyone can find something. I believe and hope that it will be liked, because I also carefully made sure what essential oils will be there, so some are really fragrant, some are without scent. There is something for everyone there.

That sounds like a lot of products and a lot of work. What's your opinion on those who import it from China and just rebrand it?

The opinion is clear. I believe that if we want to sell something, we should come up with it ourselves. Rebranding things and stealing other brands, and in addition being of poor and unverified quality, I would never go for that, even though it has been offered to me many times.

You are again on the cover of a men's magazine, which some say has a retro cover. Do you feel retro, that you should be on such a cover?

I am basically a retro woman already. I still love the nineties. I enjoy going back to them in terms of films, music and the people I met at that time. It was such a golden age when people didn't make fun of each other so much... they liked each other and were able to have a chat. Have conversations in the evening. They enjoyed life more than they spend on their phones these days, which is of course life. That's the time we live in, but I enjoyed the time of those nineties.

Is there someone from that time you miss and who you're not talking to now?

I talk to just about everyone.

Are you then a peace-loving person?

No, I'm not. If there's someone else, I can handle it and I'll see them off, but if I have no reason, I'm quite a nice girl.

You often get hateful comments on social networks and you really give it back to them. But have you ever been on the brink and reported it to the police and wanted to take it to court?

Once I dealt with such a case. But now I have freed myself by not dealing with it anymore and I almost don't read those comments or I delete them straight away. It's much better when you throw these people in the bin and don't bother with them at all and that vibe doesn't even reach you.

Actually, I don't care anymore what anyone says.

If I want to ask something, there is a question mark behind the sentence, and if there isn't and someone writes their comment, it means I did not ask anything and no one needs to answer, it's that simple.

In one conversation, you said that you could easily live in your own bubble. What is in your bubble?

In my bubble there's my amazing husband, my two children, and two little girls, Chihuahua daughters. Then a few friends, whom I really like and from whom I like to read or listen to comments. Otherwise, I'm not interested in anything else.

You like shamanism. Do you plan to do a project related to it in business?

Maybe in the future. I am close to it in the Dominican Republic. I have many shamans there, who teach me new things and push me further in my mind and I enjoy it. So we'll see what comes.

Will you have Christmas in the Czech Republic or in the Dominican Republic?

I would like to have it in the Dominican Republic, but my children are in the Czech Republic, so we will stick to the tradition. I really hate winter. I don't really enjoy the romance of the snow. I do not like gloves, warm jackets, frost, skis, the sun nor the powder snow attracts me. So when I went skiing, I just got drunk on the slope and then rolled down. I prefer the beach, I don't misbehave as much there.

How do you celebrate Christmas?

Just like everywhere else. We try to maintain the classic traditions of our grandmothers and mothers. We always have grandma with us, helping us with traditions. Grandma is from Slovakia, so we have a kind of Czechoslovak Christmas. We have sauerkraut soup, which I make because I make it really well. Even though I hate cooking, I cook well. And we fry schnitzels, because a carp does not belong on the table, Bruno would kill us for that, because fish are caught and then released. Carp would not pass in our house. We cut apples, watch fairy tales, and maintain these usual traditions for the kids.

Thank you very much for the interview and I wish you good luck.
