John Amos Comenius' Labyrinth of the World and Paradise of the Heart got a fresh cover. Behind its revival is the leading Czech artist Miroslav Huptych, who put a lot of effort and his own heart into this book. He has been working on the illustrations off and on for 7 years.
The beautiful book contains 54 illustrations with an original signed lithograph added to it. One page of the book always features the original text in the authentic, colorful Comenius language, and the next oneh the adaptation to the 21st century contemporary language. The reader can therefore make a coparison of how the Czech language has changed and understand the timeless critical views of the society that Comenius lived in.
"Comenius' text in itself is exceptional and pioneering, it doesn't lose its depth over time. The illustrations are developed associations and context related to the text. The publisher paid extra attention to the original form of the book, the great work here was done by the graphic designer Pavel Růt, including the unusual concept of the bibliophilic version of the book's leather cover,"
