The harbour in Monte Carlo boasts deluxe embellishments 

The main harbour in Monaco is located in the La Condamine district approximately in the middle of this small country. It is mainly known for the luxury yachts that anchor here. However, a lot of very small boats have also found a refuge here. Today the harbour is about 850 metres long and up to 450 metres wide at its widest point. As many of you know, the famous Formula 1 race passes the harbour. And the beauty of Monaco has also appeared on film screens. In 1995 the harbour appeared in the film Golden Eye, which was the first Bond Film in which Pierce Brosnan played agent 007.

The Prince´s Palace as a real prince’s palace

The Prince’s Palace is located on the cliff La Rocher in the old city district of Monaco Ville. It originated in the 17th century by conversion of the former fort dating from 1191. You can admire the bronze canons in front of the gate, which were a gift from French King Louis XIV. The Prince’s Palace is the home of rulers from the Grimaldi Family, which has ruled Monaco since the 13th century and is a real deluxe jewel.

The construction work took 11 years and used 100,000 tons of stone. You can see over 4 thousand fish and sea animals here. The six-metre tank called “Shark Lagoon” is the rarest and most sought-after attraction.
