Behind this wild collection that is hard to view as the embodiment as luxury high fashion is none other than the unconventional and avant-garde fashion brand Maison Margiela. British designer John Galliano, who's responsible for creating this collection, didn't hesitate to make strawberries out of men, put tulle nets over female models' faces and turn the nightmare of most women (odd loose hanging boobs) into a new trend!
What we cannot deny about the new haute couture Spring 2020 collection is that it literally sucks us into the world of imagination. Looking at the fishnet outfits we were transported into a fairy tale starring The Little Mermaid in the lead role, the "acorn" model took us to the middle of the woods, the red extravagant piece to a latex party. Ehm, everyone will see their own thing in this collection.

Forget plastic surgery, hanging is in now
We have no idea what John Galliano was trying to say with this. Should women accept themselves the way they were created? Forget about plastic surgery and be happy as they are? Maybe, or we're just looking for something that's not there and the message is simple - boobs hanging down to one's waist will be all the rage next season. And if you don't have them yet, Maison Margiela will take care of that!

The male models who donned outfits sweeter than the most sun-kissed strawberry, were the real cherry on top. We're in favor of letting men be men and leaving skirts exclusively to women.

What did work out?
So that we aren't only being critical, for the end we've saved two luxurious models that really worked out for the British designer. Well, if we overlook those ugly hooves on the models' feet. And what are the pieces you don't have to be afraid to wear outside when you put on better footwear to go along with them?

I know what a famous name John Galliano is! I know it! I know! But I don't care. I get that it's supposed to be haute couture, but Dior made a haute couture collection too and it was gorgeous and wearable! You can't say that about this one.
Dicks and strawberries
If you want to make men resemble cute strawberries or you wish they looked, pardon my language, like a dick, go for it! There's nothing easier than putting them in some kinda something that looks something like that.

Just cover up the sex
I don't know what it looks like to you, but these times, when there are allegedly over 50 different genders already - for real, I didn't believe it either - truly are crazy. It seems to me like it's ideal these days for men to stop being men and for women to stop being women. At least that's how I feel about this collection, where I have trouble to tell apart male and female models. It freaks me out!
Did you know that they even sell "gender neutral" Santa Claus toys these days? But I'm going off topic. Shit, Galliano, what drugs did you snort? Aside from the men who are completely ridiculous in these outfits and look like they'd just come out of a warped Alice in Wonderland story, I can't help but think John Galliano hates women too. How would he otherwise explain creating a dress that makes the model look like she's the wet nurse of at least ten kids?

I don't actually know what other outfit I should even comment on. All of it is so godawful that I cannot single anything out. Everything strikes me as the worst of the worst. The only thing I hope for is that these are all costumes to some reimagining of The Emperor’s New Clothes. I'd ideally dress prisoners up in this. I feel that crime rates would immediately plummet, because nobody would want to wear this even sitting in jail, let alone going out and meeting people.
