Deluxe fashion without limits Marni does it’s own thing, which it usually receives praise for from the fashion critics. Creative director Francesco Risso rides a wave of creativity and creates bold models, which you may not wear so much in normal life, but which belong on the runway in the 21st century. The brand has no limits, which it also demonstrated in its new men’s collection SS 2019.
The show in Milan was unique not only due to the traditionally extravagant models, but also due to the venue. The deluxe SS 2019 collection was presented in the underground car park of Torre Velasca, a Milanese skyscraper built in the nineteen fifties. And the venue was not the only curiosity. Francesco Risso sat his guests on bouncy balls and the show became not only an excellent show, but also entertaining exercise.
The deluxe collection is distinguished by its relaxed style, which includes un-tucked or partially tucked-in cotton shirts and other tops, midi-length trousers with flared legs or nylon anoraks with abstract drawings by German artists Florian Hetze.
When creating the collection Francesco Risso was also inspired by sports and created deluxe items evoking the impression of a playful basketball or baseball player in a singlet, sports sweatshirt with collar and stylish accessories in the form of colourful socks and tennis shoes. And colours were the primary element of the entire collection!
The SS 2019 is full of bright colours and bold patterns. The collection is dominated by horizontal and vertical stripes, cheques and flowers, with batik and tropical patterns appearing in places. But we think that the shirts, anoraks and tops, each side of which is completely different, give a slightly schizophrenic impression. And in conclusion we can say that the Marni collection confirmed its distinctiveness once again.
My God the world has finally gone mad! China will soon be holding the absolutely barbaric Yulin Dog Meat Festival, where dog meat will be eaten and the Marni brand presented a collection in the spirit of greasy drug addicts, dealers, various perverts and junkies. Basically absolute fashion suicide.
Creative director Francesco Risso (who I think should have his head examined by the way) said that this is not everyday fashion, but that it belongs on the runway. Has he gone completely mad? This belongs somewhere???? It’s very nice that he wanted to help his guests with their back pain and so he gave them balls to sit on, but what about starting with eyesight? Couldn’t he and his team think of something a little pleasant to look at?!
In the past I laughed at the Yeezy collection by Kanye West. I take everything back, because I can see that fashion hells are raging elsewhere! I would like to save the people who are still thinking about buying anything from the Marni SS 2019 Collection a little money by giving them some advice: Go and investigate the skips for second hand clothing on the corner of the street, because you will be able to find similar items there FOR FREE!
