The queen of pop, musical legend Madonna, who is widely considered a sex symbol and has conquered the whole world, is celebrating her 62nd birthday today. She has accomplished what many people can only dream of - she's sold the highest number of recordings in the entire history of music. And no wonder! She was never afraid to say exactly what she thought, do what she liked, and most importantly - she was not afraid to shock. The singer might be approaching retirement age, but she has zero interest in putting warm slippers on her feet and learning how to knit.

Madonna, full name Madonna Louise Veronica Ciccone, is without a doubt one of the most influential personalities on the music scene. She's known as a singer, dancer, director, composer, writer and fashion icon. Madonna's life reflects a characteristic temperament, zest for life and a huge amount of energy. And her family? Perhaps surprisingly, she's doingher best to be an exemplary mother with a big heart. She has six children, two of whom are her own and four she has adopted. The last children to join her family were twins from Malawi. If you think she spoils her kids, though, you couldn't be more wrong. It's said that she runs a tight ship and her kids don't get anything for free.
