The Dedica Antholgy is a brand new hotel brand, formed only in April this year. There you will find five 5-star hotels and four 4-star ones, located at luxury European destinations. Originally they had been a part of the chain Bocolo Hotels before being bough by the American company Värde Partners in 2017. The label now operates under hotel manager, Stephen Alden.
The history of the Boscolo hotels dates back to 1978, when the Boscolo family opened the first hotel in Sottomarina, in romantic Venice. It was called Beau Rivage. In the 80's the travel agency, Boscolo Tours, was established and over the next 40 years, hotels Boscolo opened in Italian cities of Rome, Florence, Milan, in the French resort of Nice and Lyon, in the Hungarian capital of Budapest and also in Prague.
This year five of them were renamed to The Dedica Anthology. Then further hotels were given new names. Let´s look at them.
Boscolo Venezia received the name of Grand Hotel Dei Dogi, Bocsolo Exedra Roma is now called Palazzo Naiadi Hotel, Boscolo Exedra in Milan is now Palazzo Matteotti, Boscolo Budapest is New York Palace Budapest, and Boscolo Prague can be found under the name of Carlo IV.
In Prague you will find the original hotel Boscolo in the luxurious building in Senovážné Square, close to the Main Railway Station. It is among the most interesting building constructions of the end of the nineteenth century, whose design was made by architect A. Wolf. Originally a bank was headquartered here, the bank safe was transformed into a luxurious bar, the hotel stands out due to its spacious lobby, which is typical for banks, but not always so for hotels. You can admire the grand interior: original wall paintings, luxury Doric pillars and a majestic staircase.
