Ladies Drive: Behind the wheel of a BMW X6
It is a beautiful sunny day and I have booked a car for the weekend from Renocar in Čestlice. I am setting off from Prague to Český Krumlov and from the first sight of the exterior and into the interior it becomes clear to me that I will really enjoy this ride! The slightly elongated body of the new BMW X6 makes it more powerful and elegant, which means that it catches everyone’s attention at first glance. I’ve received keys, but you will not find the classic key there. You do not even have to take this “key” out of your pocket to get in the car and drive it off. You open and lock the car without it, but you have to have it somewhere with you. So start the car by simply pressing START/STOP and let’s take off for a ride. Strikingly inventive, right?!
When you puncture a tire, you don’t need a jack!
You will not find a spare tire in your car, which at first made me a bit concerned. What on earth if I puncture the tire? This can happen to me even with this luxurious BMW! But after a while, an explanation comes: Run Flat tires. If you do puncture the tire, you will still reach the first car repair outfit. What is excellent is that in my white shirt I will not have to fight with the jack. In addition, there is more luggage space in the car. My suitcase looks so tiny in the luggage space! Do I really have everything I need with me?
To make the jealous looks of other drivers even more envious, I use a cosmetic mirror on the shade and automatically a small light over it comes on. I consider this to be a great feature! Red lipstick and I can finally set off!
A leather interior and comfortable steering
The luxurious BMW X6 xDrive30d car that I have rented can be geared automatically or manually by using the levers on the steering wheel. I have chosen automatic and I’m driving on the Brno highway. The orange and black leather seats are extremely comfortable with the option of adjusting the head, the backs and the leg rests. The basic design of the new BMW X6 is implemented with fabric upholstery but there are also special Design Pure Excellence and Design Pure Experience packages.
It is easy to drive and you have a great view. You literally tower over the other vehicles and experience an amazing and uplifting feeling. For a moment, I wondered whether I was really driving a car, or if I was sitting in a luxury lounge and playing a computer game!
In the BMW X6 you will be fearless riders!
The maximum speed of the car is 230 km per hour. The BMW X6 xDrive30d has a 3-litre six-cylinder diesel engine with a power output of 190kW and a torque of 560 N.m (1500-3000 rpm). You can use the default Comfort mode or switch to the Sport mode, which responds significantly faster. In the city the average consumption is cca. 9 l per 100 km and on the highway 7-8 l per 100 km, which represents a fairly decent result. In the new BMW X6 generation you will notice the new chassis and in addition to the standard version you can equip it with your choice from 4 adaptive types: Comfort, Dynamic, Professional and M Chassis, which is designed for cars that are equipped with an M package.
When I’m in the BMW X6 vehicle I feel really safe. It’s a massive car and you’re high and driving with a smart steering wheel that vibrates when you drive too close to the edge or you unexpectedly turn off the road. So if you were about to fall asleep behind the wheel (which is probably not the case because the experience of driving this car will certainly not make you want you to sleep), this vibration will then awaken you. In addition, you do not even have to watch the panel, i.e. how fast you are driving and to where you should navigate. This information (including the maximum allowed speed) is displayed directly on the windscreen in white and you will need this! In this luxury car you drive and drive and suddenly, you do not know how, your speed is 150 km per hour!
The nightmare of parking will no longer hunt you
Parallel parking is the nightmare of almost all women! The BMW X6 has automatic parking however. You drive at a maximum speed of 30 km per hour alongside parked cars and your luxury car will pick out any vacancies. When it finds the right fit, it will tell you and ask if you want to park. You confirm the information and it then navigates you to whatever you have to do. At the conclusion it parks for you. I would appreciate if this were to become standard equipment for all cars! We would save a lot of nerves and scratches on the paint.
A woman at the wheel of the BMW X6: The thorn in every man’s eye!
I have to say that it is very easy to get used to the BMW X6. I do not like to think of saying goodbye to it, and you also would not want to either if you had this experience. It looks great in a photo or video, but that’s nothing in comparison with when you ride in it. I have one more point here for the ladies: the woman behind the wheel of this luxury car acts on men like an alien or as a thorn in their eye.
I have probably tangled the head of many men on my way here. Were they staring at my new seductive lipstick or was it the mighty and luxurious design of my rented luxury car from which they could not turn their eyes away? Or did they just not understand why HER and NOT ME?
Now I already know what I will wish for Christmas! The only reason why I did not buy the BMW X6 is its price, which is somewhat below CZK 2,000,000. And that’s not the amount you normally carry in your wallet nor in your back pocket.
