French fashion designer Jean Paul Gaultier ranks among notable fashion designers who in the world of fashion still have something to offer. His style is known by attacking the standard views on fashion, wanting to show off something much more. Not always did the designer devote himself to the creation of men's fashion, but something triggered it in the 80´s.
The couture collection, which was presented at the luxurious Parisian couture week, shocked us by its elegance and mystery. That´s because it conceals a great amount of darkness, incredible cuts and beautiful pleasant materials. During the whole show, men as well as women took turns at the catwalk, but this time round simultaneously. That is because the designer joined the two categories together. We have concentrated on men's models and the luxury fashion that men can actually wear.
In the luxury fashion world trends change every moment and in recent times there is moreover constantly presented fashion, which is more crazy, than wearable. In the case of the collection by Jean Paul Gaultier it nevertheless different. Of course that in the haute couture collection there are also pieces that are for some men absolutely beyond the boundaries of their style, but mostly the designer hit the bull´s eye. The models are wearable, elegant and chic. Despite the fact that the collection of mostly very “simple”, there can always be found some additional modern elements. For example the black and white scarf with a modern inscription, which represents the brand, looks great. And mainly, it lends the luxurious black outfit the right dose of flair. In combination with the white-black sneakers it looks exclusive and stylish.
Of course in this collection you would also be able to find and a few extreme pieces: velvet trousers, long black leather coat, shiny polo-neck or sequined trousers. Moreover, the whole collection is also linked to the smoking ban and many clothes are thus embellished by the words "NO SMOKING". However, you do not have to be afraid that it would not look good, on the contrary, it catches attention of every fashion enthusiast.
Clearly also because it contains several equestrian elements, but primarily due to the fact that there is a lot of items that can be worn in everyday life!
At first glance me I was captivated by the classic-cut fine suit accompanied by shiny black-white sneakers and giant mink scarf. It is inscribed ´Gaultier´, which to me is reminiscent of football fan scarves bearing the names of favourites clubs. And who likes this brand is also a bit of a fan, don´t you think? Additional advantage here is, that you would be able to “borrow” it from husband, and wear it, too.
Of course this collection also includes a million nonsensical examples. For example the semi-transparent polo-necks in combination with half-sequined skirts/pants. This for me defines asexuality...And it definitely should not be a part of men's collection!
