Charming Lebanese fashion designer Zuhair Murad has gone down in the history of fashion trends with his exceptional garments, to which women around the world have succumbed. Famous celebrities wear his gowns on the red carpet, and hire the designer for everyday garments a well. His range includes glasses, accessories and the irresistible Haute Couture collection, which he presented at this year’s Paris Couture Week.
Some might say that these gowns border on the kitsch, but anybody who understands fashion and is tuned the right wavelength will be thrilled by his designs. The luxurious embellishments, which the designer takes to the finest detail, will simply overwhelm you. The designer loves using lace, beads, sequins and all kinds of embroidery on his gowns, making them different and interesting.
Zuhair’s show at Couture Week was a huge surprise, but by no means a disappointment. On the contrary, it brought a look of amazement to the faces of all the attendees. Zuhair Murad played with the dresses down to the finest detail and embellished them with floral and oriental patterns, which looked luxurious and splendid. We like the golden royal embroidery, red lining on men’s trousers and jackets, which reminds us a little bit of the style of the Dolce & Gabbana fashion house. There is always something to admire with this designer.
Zuhair Murad thinks about his work and about what women expect from luxury gowns for special occasions. His Haute Couture collection is full of countless variations, which are easy to choose from. Beautiful bold dresses with revealed legs, fluffy tulle and embroidery, mini dresses with luxurious oriental patterns, elegant puffy evening gowns with millions of sparkly crystals or overalls with gorgeous sequins? It’s entirely up to you what you choose from his collection…
If you attended the shows by Zuhair Murad and Elie Saab Haute Couture, you can be more than happy with your visit to Paris Fashion Week. In my opinion, these two were the highlight of the entire event. The days when the entire affair was dominated by Chanel or Dior are over.
In my view, Murad did something absolutely amazing by creating an incredibly sexy dress in my least favourite colour - khaki! I am of course talking about the ultra-short shorts combined with a long off-shoulder gown with gold embroidery. In this case, it’s rather hard to determine where something like that would be appropriate, because it’s too much for the club and too little for a ball. Once again, the only remaining option is a less formal party, but in the most select company! And don’t forget to notice the entirely ordinary loose hair: definitely don’t go for a complicated hairdo with a gown that is already so complicated. Otherwise, you will look like a circus performer.
I also adored the black dress from the “smart casual” section with the floral pattern, worn by top model Alessandra Ambrosio. The perfect, albeit very narrow neckline would make every chest irresistible. And the extended cloak is sheer beauty! Once again, I would not add any heavy makeup or a complicated hairdo.
