Only a few months ago he made a great impression with his luxurious, feminine models, on all guests of the London Fashion Week. Now decided to aim higher still and enter the catwalk of the New York Fashion Week! And how did the Czech designer Jiří Kalfař fare? Excellently!
The fashion show starred, same as last year, muses of Jiří Kalfař - models Pavlína Pořízková and Alina Baiková. They were accompanied on the catwalk by charismatic Linda Vojtová and it should be noted that all three ladies looked stunning in Jiří Kalfař´models.
The FW 19/20 collection which Jiří Kalfař showed at the New York Fashion Week was carried out in a feminine and refined spirit. It is characterised by vibrant colours, frills, laces and luxuriously fine fabrics, tantalisingly revealing a specific part of the figure.
The designer embellished some of his luxury models by PRECIOSA Components crystals, sometimes adding stylish hats by Czech brand of Tonak. One of the divine models, decorated with Preciosa crystals were presented for example by Ukrainian model Alina Baiková who was one of the most vibrant adornments of the entire fashion show of 19/20 FW.
“And so it has happened. It was all I wanted - and more. It is my dream come true. I presented my latest collection at NYFW. I still find it incredible, considering where I started, that I went and reached this point. It is not just my journey; I was incredibly blessed and enjoyed overwhelming support of many great people. Thank you.”
We keep our fingers crossed for Jiří Kalfař and wish him every success for the future!
In his recent collection he projected all his ideas of trends and in my view Jiří´s secret dream is to head a world-famous fashion house. His models remind me of work of Valentino or Dolce & Gabbana.
The most beautiful piece of all is in my point of view the burgundy jacket with semi-long sleeves and a hood, as if right from the fairy tale of Red Riding Hood. But the flawless combination of the button together with darker-toned musketeer boots. Beautiful!!! In the city slush a pleasant chic change.
And the imaginary icing on the cake was the transparent gown with rich embellishments on the bottom part of the skirt. Yes, it is a bit Haute Couture, because in normal world this is unwearable, but the fantasy of it simply absorbed me.
