Luxury innovation and technological improvement

The fully aluminium chassis represents a significant reduction in weight as compared to the car’s predecessor – the California T. The car has modified air-conditioning for driving with the roof down and a wind deflector decreases cabin noise by 30 percent.

The famous Ferrari V8 turbo has taken on new components with the new model as well as new software to manage the drive unit. You will find there a new intake system and redesigned pistons. The characteristic snarl of the Ferrari V8 has also been improved, something you will in particular appreciate when driving downhill.

The major revolution also relates to the geometry in the whole of the exhaust system. The new threaded one-piece exhaust header reduces losses. The gears offer a higher level of acceleration and fuel consumption has significantly dropped compared to the previous model.

Improved dynamics for driving comfort

The new technological improvements have also left their mark on the dynamic characteristics of the Ferrari Portofino.

The third-generation electronic rear differential (E-Diff3) has been integrated with F1-Trac, improving mechanical grip and control of the car on the limit.

The Ferrari Portofino is also the first GT in the series to be equipped with an EPS system (Electric Power Steering). The magnetorheological damping system (SCM-E) has been improved and the result is an even more dynamic and responsive car which offers superior ride comfort.

Design of the Ferrari Portofino: aggressive, elegant and sporty

The Ferrari Design Centre is responsible for the aggressively shaped luxury design with two possible configurations: a coupé-convertible with a retractable hard top. This adds extra sleekness to the silhouette, lending it a sportier character without impinging on its elegance and dynamism.

The large radiator grille stretches from edge to edge and the new headlight assembly gives it a wild appearance.

An interior which all cars long for

Special attention was also paid to comfort on board, which is guaranteed by a plethora of new features.

The interior catches the eye at first glance with its 10.2” touchscreen display, new air-conditioning system, new steering wheel and extremely comfortable electrically adjustable seats with a new backrest design boosting legroom for rear seat passengers.

The unique Ferrari Portofino was on show at the Frankfurt Motor Show and will be on sale in the luxury Scuderia showroom, the exclusive sales and service branch of this brand and the Maserati brand in the Czech Republic. Its price will be somewhere around EUR 190,000 excluding tax.
