Helen Mirren: The star of the evening
It would come as a surprise to anyone that the lady in the bright pink garment Schiaparelli is 73 years old! Helen Mirren was a glowing star of the evening, she had an energetic smile, great make-up and the neon-coloured dress made the actress look years younger. She overshadowed her younger peers with her great choice!
Laura Dern and Constance Wu: There is divine power in simplicity
The actresses Laura Dern and Constance Wu opted for quite minimalistic dresses, however absolutely stunning ones! Laura chose a simple corseted dress by Rodarte, which she accompanied with luxury jewelery by Harry Winston.
Constance Wu, on the other hand, wore a bright yellow garment by Versace, which had no need of any added jewelery. Her dress on its own was quite distinctive, and therefore other added elements would have clashed.
Tired JLO. And Brie Larson both embraced silver
Like at the Grammys, Jenniger Lopez went for a silver look, and this move was another one success! Metallic elements are in vogue, and will remain so for a while. Her dress by Tom Ford is a work of a genius. What surprised us, however, was her visage, which the singer had at the evening. Either, her tired look can be explained by a blunder of the stylists, or a long night of partying, who knows…
Also Brie Larson was dressed in silver. The refined robe Celine was a great fit and accentuated her flawless silhouette. The jewelery by Chanel were a cherry on top.
Jennifer Hudson and Rachel Weisz: What it should/shouldn‘t look like!
Jennifer Hudson and Rachel Weisz both decided to wear the thematic red for the evening. However, while one decided well, the other made an awful blunder!
Jennifer Hudson was enchanting in her dress with frills by Elie Saab, and looked like a mermaid. The shade of her dress suited Jennifer perfectly, and we were similarly taken by the metallic strap ballerinas, which were an absolute fit.
On the other hand, Rachel Weisz opted for Givenchy, and her choice wasn‘t as lucky. This outfit of the French brand wasn‘t such an accomplishment and we appeal to all: ‚Take a wide berth of these!‘
Kacey Musgraves and Sarah Paulson see the Oscars in pink
Kacey Musgraces wore a light pink robe Giambattista Valli, which really suited her black hair. The Oscar Awards are a really prestigious event, why not be more flashy and ostentatious? We welcome Kacey’s bold step out of the crowd!
Sarah Paulson came to the Oscars in a fuchsia robe by Brandon Maxwell, which was decorated by slits on the side. Sarah can truly afford to wear such an outfit given her figure, and we give her a thumbs up.
Hips and shoulders don‘t lie on Lady Gaga, Charlize Theron and Emma Stone
Although, each of the stars had a dress from a different designer, one thing unites them – an appaling dress cut!
Charlize Theron went to the Oscar awards in a dress by Dior, however it didn‘t suit her figure at all. It deformed her chest, shoulders and arms in an unbecoming way, and in this case we can’t unfortunately give praise to the French brand.
Now, we‘ll move from the shoulders down, and we‘ll show you what it looks like, when you accentuate your hips far too much. We don‘t know, why Lady gaga chose to wear this outfit by Alexander McQueen, which pronounces her hips and adds on tens of centimetres at the waist, but one thing is certain – this is not the way to go!
On the other hand, Emma Stone decided to stake her appearance on a dress that adds volume to the top part of her body. What saddens us even more is the fact, that despite all the bold elements that the dress by Louis Vuitton contains, it remains quite boring anyway…

Helen Mirren – A spring surprise
The always decorous Helen Mirren really shocked me with her pastel coloured robe by Schiaparelli! It is fantastic to see a woman of her age in such bright colours, which gives her a jolt of youth. A perfect dress cut, and a perfect choice of jewelery by Harry Winston. That’s what I call an ‘English Shock’.
Dress: 90 % Make-up and hair: 99 %
Charlize Theron – A new era
This time, Charlie was truly wonderful! Her light blue robe from the Dior fashion house was immaculate. I was especially taken aback by the area of the chest; it seems pointy breasts from the 40. 50. are back. A very revolutionary step in today’s modern times, as no one yet had dared to take it before. And I have to say, I am not against. It’s very sexy, and as we can see, there was no need of a neck-line.
Dress: 100 % Make-up and hair: 90 % (a shame she wasn’t blonde)
Jennifer Lopez – Shine like a diamond
The combination of Tom Ford and Jennifer Lopez can never end up unwell. And as is known, the singer is used to getting what she wants from her stylists. Do I like her outfit? Yes I do, her dress fits her perfectly and her choice of jewelery is a match. However, I don’t why, but I wasn’t as impressed by Jennifer this time, so she ended up somewhere halfway...

Lady Gaga – Diamond Lady
I was really looking forward to Lady Gaga. I told myself, what kind of surprise does she have in store this time. The giant robe with pointy hips by Alexander McQueen didn’t impress me at all, but that necklace! A beautiful diamond wearing 128,54 carat worth appr. 678 million crowns, which last Audrey Hepburn wore during promotional photo shoots for the famous film ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s’. That’s what I call a hit!

Emma Stone - LV caramel?!
Oh our little Emma, always an elegant and smiling girl. However, this golden-brown choice by Louis Vuitton turned her into a sweet caramel that tempts to be tasted. For me an interesting idea, however I myself would do away with this option right at the beginning of the presentation of dresses available for the Oscars ceremony.

Rachel Weisz – What if it rains…
I absolutely adore Rachel as an actress, especially since for me she’s always been one of the women, who for me defined the word ‘sex appeal’. However, her stylists really took a wild turn at this year’s Oscars, and it didn’t do her any good. A red dress with some sort of latex top by Givenchy reminds me of a children’s raincoat from some Baby Born collection...Shame!
