Let us transport you to the realm of fantasy
Each season by designer Sophie Webster is a huge surprise which will stay in your memory. The SS18 collection invites us to a magical world where stylish and fashionable shoes are the main actors. A sharp contrast to the ice queens and snowballs which were prominent in the AW17 collection, here we are transported to a merry botanical forest full of flowers and fairies.
A fairy from 1917 as an inspiration
The whole luxurious collection was inspired by the Cottigley Fairies. Two young cousins, Elsie Wright and Frances Griffiths, took five photos in 1917 which seemed to be from the world of fairies and in fact convinced many people that these magical creatures are real.
“They said that they found fairies at the end of their garden, and everyone believed them.”
However, there were many more inspirational fairies – for instance in a book of original poems and drawings full of flowery illustrations. Sophia used these to create an exceptional landscape of wonder for her luxurious shoes.
Flowery embroidery and purses with a ton of glitter
The luxurious collection itself includes shoes with beautiful colorful flowers, seemingly made for a princess, or a beautiful and dreamy forest fairy. Our favorite pieces include beautiful purses with a wooden handle, which resemble a handbasket for fragrant flowers.
Every shoe by Sophie Webster has a story. Some are full of flowers, others are decorated with luxurious stones that look like shiny diamonds. Even beautiful wooden shoes with luxurious golden decorations and bronze bands are interesting and original, in their own way.

Who is Sophie Webster? I’d say that she’s a fairly strong competitor to Jimmy Choo and Christian Louboutin!!! Basically, GODLY! I was left speechless, and cannot even decide which of these seemingly perfect shoes are the most beautiful.
But if I were forced to make a choice, in the end I’d hand the crown to the “butterfly” shoes. Do you know the saying that love is like having butterflies in your stomach? Well, in this case having them on my shoes is good enough! And I haven’t even touched on the beautiful matching purse.
Gold, light pink, white, champagne, turquoise – dresses in all kinds of colors would be a great match to such shoes. And they’d be perfect for any month from May to September. Basically, what we see is a pair of shoes and a purse that are made to be enjoyed, and if someone is depressed or sad, this should be a guaranteed medicine for your feminine soul! My score? 100%!!!
