And it's here. Curfew. But where would we go when everything is closed... When I was little, and it's actually valid until today, I imagined how people in prison must feel. Now I know, the only difference being that in most cases prisoners don't have to work. On the other hand, they don't have the internet, Netflix or other luxuries, so yeah, I won't complain. However, this situation is really concerning...
Like a fatso?
I don't know about you, but I don't like this déjà vu from spring at all. Not only do I really need my hairdresser, manicurist, pedicurist and beautician, but if they don't open the gym immediately, I will soon look like in spring - like a fatso. Not that I don't go for runs and exercise at home, but it's really getting cold outside and it's raining. And in that case I don't enjoy the running that much and exercising at home is never as effective as when a group pulls you along or your coach yells at you, to whom you pay hell of a money for telling you that you're fat.

Quarantine that doesn't make sense
We tried it in the spring, and we successfully survived. But now the situation is different. Although there are more infected and hospitalized people by far, nobody wants to stay at home. People are tired of it. Some don't even observe the quarantine, even though they're positive because they feel alright, in other words they have no symptoms. And it's been reduced from 14 to 10 days! Which also poses a question... Is it too short? Is it too long? In my opinion, it's too long for those who were ordered to quarantine due to being in contact with an infected person, even though they had a negative test. In that case it's hell! In addition, unlike positive people, they have to go for a second test in order to rule out positivity 100%, although the positive ones can return to society after quarantine without a test. For many, it doesn't make sense.
So, short or long?
Some unfortunate people are at home even longer because they delay testing for too long. They don't feel very well, they think they just have a cold or they don't want to pay the large amount of money for a test. Covid is unpredictable like that and attacks in waves. One day you're fine, but the next you feel like you're on your deathbed. Only then they contact their doctor or the public health office, which sends them to free tests. But the days go by... and suddenly it becomes twenty or more days instead of a ten-day quarantine. It's not easy to get to the tests, because the testing points are too full and the results can take up to two days. And the quarantine is calculated from the moment the test result is obtained. Anyway... how can you know for sure that ten days of quarantine are enough?! Who can guarantee you that you're not infectious anymore? There are a number of unknowns around coronavirus, and even the professionals don't have all the answers.

I'm starting to get depressed again
Personally, I only quarantined, as a positively tested person, for those ten days. The symptoms of the disease didn't persist, so I boldly returned back into the outside world. Now I'm not positive, probably, I don't know, I didn't go for another test, but I'm still staying at home. Why? As I've mentioned, where would I go? To work, get groceries and then home. When I keep repeating it, I start to get depressed again. How long will this take? Until the whole republic gets infected?
Secret parties
In my opinion, the curfew after nine in the evening doesn't solve much. Many people have their businesses open for secret parties, where they hold secret shindigs, which as our former Minister of Health Roman Prymula knows too well.
I doubt that will prevent people from meeting in apartments. Unless the neighbors snitch on them. But our first responders are constantly suffering from a shortage of staff, so who will check on these domestic raves?

Looking for a dog... read: urgent!
Anyway, I wonder how I'll personally deal with my lover. We don't have a shared household, and I honestly don't really want him to sleep over, so I always kick him out around midnight. Now he'll have to stay here until morning so that he doesn't run into problems with the police. Hope we can manage somehow, keep your fingers crossed.
I was thinking of getting a dog like the rest of the republic. Or at least a dog running on batteries. And then, with a feeling of rebellion, I'd go for a walk after nine! What about you, how do you manage this modern prison system?
