Viewers know her mostly as the bold journalist Carrie Bradshaw. The series Sex in the City is still very popular today and many fans, both male and female, swear by it. Popular actress Jessica Parker will celebrate her 56th birthday tomorrow. It took her a long time to find Mr Right not only on the TV screens in the role of Carrie, but also in her personal life. She dated celebrities such as Nicolas Cage and John Kennedy Jr.
Two dads and lots and lots of siblings
The charming Sarah was born on March 25, 1965 in Nelsonville, Ohio to teacher Barbara Forste and journalist Stephen Parker. If you'd have pegged the actress for an only child, you couldn't be more wrong. She has seven siblings!

Sarah's mother and father divorced soon after her birth, which is why Sarah considers another man, Paul Forste, her second dad today.

Sarah has always been drawn to art. As a child, you could see her at the American Ballet School and later as a conservatory student. Already in her early years, she performed in the Broadway production of The Innocents, thanks to which the whole family moved to New Jersey. And to top it off, Sarah and her four siblings performed together in the popular musical The Sound of Music. Her engagement in the musical Annie, in which she played the lead role, could be considered the icing on the imaginary cake.
From musicals to TV shows and film roles
As a young woman, she left the Broadway stages to enter the world of film and TV. We can trace her career back to the the series Square Pegs (1982), where she portrayed the role of high school student Patty. However, she had to wait a bit longer for her most important role in a TV show - until 1998, to be specific. But let's not get ahead of ourselves and move on to her film roles.

As a future star actress, Sarah was cast in the thriller Firstborn (1984), where she appeared alongside another rising star, Robert Downey Jr. We could also see her in the American teen comedy Girls Just Want to Have Fun (1985) or in the romantic comedy Honeymoon in Vegas (1992), where she played alongside the charming Nicolas Cage. In the biographical drama Ed Wood, directed by Tim Burton, Sarah once again co-starred with the charismatic Johnny Depp.

The curly-haired actress got her most famous role in 1998, when she was cast in the cult series Sex and the City as Carrie Bradshaw, who knows a lot about sex and is not afraid to ask. The filming of the series continued until 2004, the episodes amounting to more than 43 hours in total. The series shows Sarah in the role of journalist Carrie, who is trying to find answers to even the most intimate questions, and most importantly, to find Mr Right. Sex in the City was so popular with viewers that it even saw two movie sequels. At the beginning of this year, our Early Bird informed that fans of the popular series will have another reason to rejoice.

Finding the right one
Similar to the series Sex in the City, the actress was trying to find the right man in her personal life, too. During the filming of the aforementioned film The Firstborn, she met Robert Downey Jr., with whom she spent several years. We could also see her appear alongside other famous men, such as Joshua Kadison and Nicolas Cage. She even had a closely watched affair with John Kennedy Jr., the son of the assassinated President of the United States.
Eventually, Sarah found her perfect match. She's been happily married to actor Matthew Broderick since 1997, and as she said a few years later:
"I love Matther Broderick. Call me crazy, but I love him. I love our life. I love that he's the father of my children, and it's because of him that there's this whole other world that I love. ”
At present, she also finds happiness in her three children. In 2002, her son James Wilkie Broderick was born, and in June 2009, she had twins, daughters Marion Loretta Elwell and Tabitha Hodge.
