On Thursday the Brno Boby Centre held the Miss Czech Republic 2019 contest, which was won by 18-year old student, Denisa Spergerová from České Budějovice. The second place was won by Maria Boichenko from Prague and the third by Andrea Prchalová from Havlíčkův Brod. Miroslav Pikolová was elected as Miss Social Media.
The winner is awaited by an annual lease of an apartment in Prague, a luxury car and Miss World contest.
Denisa Spergerová measures 182 centimetres, and although her measurements are 85-60-93, most of all she loves Italian and Asian cuisine.
During the luxury evening there were several performances, of singer Victoria Velvet, raper Sharlota, Majk Spirit and singer Emma Drobná. There were also fashion shows featuring designer Natali Ruden. The event also had a charitable purpose. Funds were raised through sponsorship, sale of calendars featuring the finalists, purchase of the luxury ring/crown of the winner, sale of promotional materials, sponsorship gifts and voluntary contributions of visitors of the finals.
"I will be glad when I get my well-deserved break tonight. There is a lot of work involved in the competition and sometimes you don´t know what to do first," she added.
Miss Czech Republic was founded in 2010 with the name Miss Face Czech Republic by model Mgr. Taťána Makarenko. In January 2018, she changed its name to MISS CZECH REPUBLIC with the intention to hold a beauty contest in the Czech Republic for girls aged 17 to 25 years.
The winner is to represent the Czech Republic at Miss World, first vice-miss at Miss Grand International, second vice-miss at Miss International and Miss Social Media at Miss Intercontinental. One of the girls, selected by the MISS CZECH REPUBLIC, is to represent the Czech Republic at Miss Global.
