The inhabitants of the city district of Prague 5 were presented with the final form of a unique project in which they themselves participated. The zoning plan for the future city district, which had been presented to the public for commentaries in the summer of 2019, has now been finalized. Citizens, associations and the city district were able to comment on the proposal, and they have done so. The project has been modified according to their proposals.
"We are fulfilling what we promised the people of Prague. We are unlocking Brownfields for construction. Especially in these difficult times, support of development and the economy through such agreements in the area and through the maximum acceleration of these permitting processes are absolutely crucial,"
added Jiří Pospíšil, Chairman of TOP 09 and STAN.
The most fundamental modifications made in the project include, for example, changes in the high-rise towers at the Exhibition Grounds. Newly, the maximum height has been set at 12 floors instead of the original 18 floors. New green areas, parks and extensions of the greenery and green corridors connecting Central Park and Stromovka will be added. Emphasis is also placed on preserving historical monuments in their original form. The new city district will offer housing for 25,000 inhabitants, as well as 29,000 jobs.

The White House has announced that US Vice President Mike Pence will Pence receives Covid vaccine in televised appearance on Friday. Second Lady Karen Pence and General Jerome Adams will be vaccinated as well. Newly elected President Joe Biden is expected to receive the vaccine next week. Biden said that his vaccination would also be public.
The COVID-19 crisis team, chaired by Mike Pence, is trying to build confidence in the vaccination process. By making it public, he hopes to "promote the safety and effectiveness of the vaccine and build trust among the American people," the White House said.

Chang'e 5 is a robotic mission of the Chinese Lunar Exploration Program that has returned to Earth with a load of "soil" and rock collected on the Moon. The capsules with material landed in Inner Mongolia on Thursday (17:30 GMT, Wednesday). The last samples were brought to Earth 40 years ago by the American mission Apollo and the Soviet Luna. The new samples should provide a new perspective on the geology and early history of the Earth's satellite. For China, the successful completion of the Chang'e-5 mission is considered another milestone and a demonstration of the nation's growing capacity in space.
