Djokovic sent a ball blindly backwards
When Serbian tennis legend Novak Djokovic blindly hit the ball to the back wall during the eighth-finals after losing 5-6 to Spaniard Pablo Carreň, he struck the lineswoman. The blow hit her in the neck, and the woman fell to the ground, moaning in pain. Later, however, she walked off on her own. With that, the US Tennis Open was over for Djokovic; the referee disqualified him.
This is not Djokovic's first controversy; he is also infamous for having founded the purely male Professional Tennis Players Association (PTPA) and for his statement that male tennis players deserved to earn more money than their female counterparts.
Djokovic deeply regrets yesterday's incident and he apologized to the referee on social networks:
"I‘m extremely sorry to have caused her such stress. So unintended. So wrong. I’m not disclosing her name to respect her privacy. As for the disqualification, I need to go back within and work on my disappointment and turn this all into a lesson for my growth and evolution as a player and human being."

Typhoon reached the shores of South Korea
After hitting Japan with record gusts of wind and heavy rain a few days ago, forcing hundreds of thousands of Japanese to evacuate, Typhoon Haishen arrived in South Korea. The country issued the highest typhoon warning. More than 300 flights from 10 airports have been canceled.
After landing on the shores of South Korea on Monday, the storm reaching wind speeds of up to 126 kilometers per hour headed north from the city of Ulsan in the south of the country.

Self-driving taxis are booming in China
China’s driverless car start-ups are experiencing a boom. The country's technology giants, such as AutoX and WeRide, are vying for leadership in the field of autonomous vehicles. According to estimates, self-driving taxis could experience extensive commercialization as early as in 2023.
A number of so-called "robotaxi" projects have popped up in China in the past two years. One of them is AutoX, a company backed by e-commerce giant Alibaba. Last month, the company opened its robotaxi service to the public in Shanghai, enabling people to order a driverless taxi via an application.

According to Pope Francis, gossip is "a worse plagie than the coronavirus." He claims that the Devil is the propagator of gossip, aiming to split the Catholic Church.

The international music festival will start on Friday with the legendary Israeli bassist Avishai Cohen, whose concert will be held on Lucerna's rooftop, not just once, but twice - at six and eight o'clock in the evening. The tickets had originally sold out in less than a week, which is why the artist added another concert. Thanks to that, you can still get your hands on a ticket. In addition to the musical experience, the performance will also offer a view of the Prague skyline. The concert is also exceptional for its intimacy - even though Cohen usually plays in front of huge crowds, this time he and his trip will perform for an audience of 250 people.
The concert next Saturday will also offer breathtaking scenery. It will take place on a floating stage on the surface of the Vltava River between the Legion Bridge and the Slavonic Island. Together with a Czech orchestra, Daniel Hope will play a modern version of the Four Seasons by the British composer Max Richter: Epoque Orchestra Vivaldi - Recomposed.
Model Naomi Campbell under pressure
Millionaire and legendary model Naomi Campbell is being sued by her ex-partner, Russian billionaire Vladislav Doronin, for three million dollars. According to court documents, Doronin lent Campbell money during their five-year relationship, which the model now allegedly refuses to return. Doronin claims that Campbell is also in possession of his belongings worth three million dollars.
Campbell herself is estimated to have earned approximately $ 60 million during her career as a supermodel. The court will now decide, who's in the right.
