The Early Bird is here today to serve you an overview of fresh events from both home and around the world.

Czech Republic will welcome the New Year without fireworks or videomapping

Fireworks opponents can relax, videmapping fans are likely to cry. The capital city of Prague will not organize either for the celebrations of the coming of 2021. The reason is the desire for saving money in the context of the coronavirus pandemic, more efficient use of funds and uncertainty around possible preventive measures in the organisation of mass events.

"The organization of fireworks and pyrotechnics in general is dropped by many Western European metropolises. You can celebrate the arrival of the new year in other, more sophisticated ways that will not have negative impact on the environment or the animals in Prague, for whom this day is often very stressful,“

said the mayor of Prague Zdeněk Hřib.

TikTok sues US government

ByteDance, which is behind the world-renowned TikTok Dance app, certainly doesn't plan to accept President Donald Trump's actions! After Trump signed a bill banning it from operating in the US, the company filed a lawsuit against the US government.

“We don't sue the government lightly, but we feel that we have no choice, but we must take steps to protect our rights and the rights of our community and employees,”

TikTok said. The bill signed by Donald Trump is expected to go into effect on March 15. September this year.

Facebook sues Thailand for a change…

And it seems that lawsuits are really everywhere! Facebook has also opted for one. However, it will be directed overseas. The Thai government has forced Facebook to block access to millions of users under the threat of lawsuit. What have they done? They discussed the Thai King... Um, in some countries, this just doesn't pay off! However, Facebook does not want to sweep the whole thing under the rug, so it escalates it to the court, adding:

"Such requests are strict, are contrary to international human rights laws and have a chilling effect on people's ability to express themselves.“

Dwayne Johnson as an anti-hero

Charismatic Dwayne Johnson takes the stage again! This time as the fearless DC antihero Black Adam (Black Adam). Johnson has been working on Black Adam with his production company Seven Bucks and producer Hiram Garcia for years. But now it looks like preparations have made good progress and Warner Bros. even made public what Dwayne's new role would look. Dwayne himself said about his role:

"One of the things I have always loved and admired about Black Adam was that he was an antihero. I love it. I love that he has his own sense of justice.“

The movie is expected to be released in cinemas in December next year.
