The Czech Republic scores in the time of coronavirus

The Czech lung ventilator CoroVent developed during the coronavirus pandemic celebrates a success in the field of international certification. It received confirmation of compliance with the safety criteria and declared purpose from the US government agency FDA. In addition to the USA, the Czech product will now be able to enter key third markets, especially Latin America and Africa. The Czech RP95-M respirator, which meets the strictest FFP3 parameters, is also becoming increasingly popular worldwide.

Hurricane Laura claimed 30 lives in the United States and the Caribbean

The dreaded Hurricane Laura, ravaging the Caribbean and parts of the United States, has claimed at least 29 lives so far - 20 victims in Haiti, 3 in the Dominican Republic and 6 in Louisiana.

"It was the most powerful storm that has ever hit Louisiana,"

Governor John Bel Edwards stated at a press conference, adding that the Hurricane Laura continues causing damage. At least 867,000 households and businesses were left without power in Louisiana, Texas and Arkansas on Thursday afternoon.

New book on the White House

Things might get a bit messy in the White House soon! On September 1, a book written by Melanie Trump's confidant Stephanie Winston Wolkoff will enter the market, casting a light on the tense relationship between the First Lady of the United States and Donald Trump's daughter Ivanka. In her book, Stephanie describes, among other things, how she and Melanie supposedly prevented Ivanka from appearing in photos from the inauguration of the American president. Bill Gates is fighting against climate change

TerraPower LLC, a company that develops nuclear reactor technology founded by Bill Gates, is planning major changes. According to Gates, they would like to start building small advanced power plants that would generate electricity from solar and wind energy. By taking this step, the billionaire and philanthropist wants to fight against climate change and help energy companies reduce their gas emissions, which have an adverse effect on global warming. Bill Gates deserves a thumbs up for this!

John Lennon's killer isn't going to see the light of day any time soon

Mark David Chapman, who shot John Lennon, a member of the Beatles in 1980, was denied parole for the 11th time. Chapman was sentenced to life imprisonment with the possibility of parole no sooner than after twenty years. The next hearing is scheduled for August 2022.

Battle for Britney Spears's money

Pop starlet Britney Spears lost the right to decide about her life quite some time ago. After the singer was repeatedly hospitalized in various mental health facilities following a series of life escapades, her father, James Spears, has taken over control of her finances and life. Two years ago, her younger sister Jamie Lynn gained control of her property, and it is she who is currently taking further steps. She would like to manage the trust fund that Britney set up in 2004 to provide for her children. Jamie Lynn has already applied and the case will now be decided at court.
