The Early Bird wishes you a pleasant Tuesday! Our morning news overview is here. What breaking news should you definitely check out?

There are fewer employees in the Czech construction industry, but the salaries are higher

The number of people working in the construction industry in the Czech Republic in July this year decreased by 1.5 percent compared to last year. However, they're better off financially than a year ago, by 5.4 percent.

The consequences of the epidemic began to show in the data from April. Initially, mainly smaller companies were affected, as their employees were home on sick leave, unpaid leave, or receiving caregiver's allowance. But some companies also lost foreign workers.

The coronavirus crisis has slowed down the Czech construction industry as a whole. This is also evidenced by the construction output index, which had been growing for three years in a row, but fell by 5.7 percent year on year in the last seven months.

California fires are forcing thousands of people to evacuate

Wildfires continue to spread through California. They have burned more than two million acres in the country to date, which makes them one of the largest fires ever to hit the United States. Mindful of the immediate danger, California authorities issued evacuation advisories for certain areas. One of them is Auberry - a mountain community with about 2,500 inhabitants. However, inhabitants of the Madera and Fresno counties find themselves in a simmilar situation.

The Sheriff's Department of Madera County made a statement on the situation on social networks:

"Any community currently in danger has had an evacuation advisory issued. However, the fire is moving fast. Have a plan and be ready to leave ahead of an order if you feel unsafe."

This year's US Open is over for Czech players

Tennis player Karolína Muchová was eliminated in the round of 16 in the US Open grand slam. She lost 7:5, 1:6 and 4:6 in the match against Belarusian Victoria Azarenkova, having played with an injured arm towards the end. For Czech tennis players, that's the end of the way towards a gold medal at this year's US Open - the legend of Czech tennis Petra Kvitová finished in the 4th round the previous day, having lost to American Shelby Rogers.

Boeing under scrutiny again

After the issues with the 737 Max aircrafts, which have been grounded since the end of last March due to two tragic accidents, Boeing is facing more problems. The US Federal Aviation Agency (FAA) is investigating the company's other machines, namely the Boeing 787 Dreamliner.

Manufacturing problems in one of the factories prompted a quality review by the regulatory body. According to an internal report, Boeing is supposed to have produced components that didn't meet its own production and design requirements. However, according to the company's representatives, this should not pose an immediate security threat. The FAA issued a statement saying it was too early to speculate on what additional steps, if any, would need to be taken.

Americans refused to give up their festival

Thousands of Americans didn't want to miss their favorite festival at any costs and wouldn't let the coronavirusstop them.

When the legendary Burning Man was canceled for the first time in its 30 years of existence, they didn't allow themselves to be discouraged by the regulation on social distancing. Thousands of people held their own festivals in the Nevada desert and on California beaches.

A crowd thousands strong in San Francisco outraged Mayor London Breed, who expressed his opinion on the participants on Twitter:

"This was absolutely reckless & selfish. You are not celebrating. You are putting people's lives at risk. You are putting our progress at risk. No one is immune from spreading the virus."

Invite Kim Kardashian in your bathroom or bedroom

She's the queen of reality shows, a television producer, a beauty mogul and a fashion icon. Isn't that enough? Nope, not for Kim Kardashian West! A little birdy told us that she's about to launch her own line of domestic goods.

The fact that her lawyer registered "KKW Home" - a line of domestic products with the US Patent Office suggests that there is some truth about the rumours. According to the documents, the line should include, among other things, bathroom and shower products or bedroom equipment. And we can't wait!

That's all from us for today! We wish you a successful day and don't forget to start it with determination. As physicist Stephen Hawking said:

"However difficult life may seem, there is always something you can do and succeed at."
