We're less than two weeks away from the US elections and Barack Obama took the opportunity to speak in support of Democratic candidate Joe Biden. And he pulled Trump to pieces! He criticized Trump's famous rhetoric, the records from the Oval Office, as well as his habit of retweeting conspiracy theories.

Ironically, he also raised the question of how Trump plans to protect the nation from coronavirus infection, if he couldn't even protect himself. According to experts, this is the biggest criticism against Trump that Obama has ever resorted to.

"I never thought Donald Trump would embrace my vision or continue my policies but I did hope for the sake of the country that he might show some interest in taking the job seriously, but it hasn't happened. He hasn't shown any interest in doing the work or helping anybody but himself,"

continued former US President Obama.

Oceans contaminated with plastic bags? It would probably be too naive to think that this issue will soon be a thing of the past. However, another interesting alternative might be about to hit the market: The Japanese have invented edible bags.

When businessman Hidetoshi Matsukawa living in Nara heard that deer in the area were dying from ingesting plastic bags, he decided to intervene. He teamed up with a local paper manufacturer and design company to start working on an interesting project. They created paper that consists of rice bran and milk cartons.

Matsukawa had the bags tested and claims that they are safe for human consumption. They are currently being tested at local banks and elsewhere. Well, chow down!

Philipp Plein vs. Ferrari

Luxury cars and fashion are known to go together. But apparently, it's not always the case. This is evidenced by the lawsuit between German fashion designer Philippe Plein and Ferrari.

The Italian carmaker sued Plein for copyright infringement in 2017. Ferrari first noticed Plein's illegal practices at a runway show in the spring of 2018 - Ferrari cars, alongside other vehicles, had been incorporated into the show. Beyond this, Ferrari has also been pursuing Phillip Plein on a number of advertisements built off of “illegitimate use of Ferrari trademarks.”

The court eventually ruled in favor of the famous car manufacturer. The designer was ordered to pay the brand eight million crowns in damages on top of legal fees, which add over half a million crowns to the bill, and remove all content related to Ferrari. The brand will also be required to take down all Ferrari vehicles from its ads.

Plein, however, disagrees with the decision and intends to appeal. Thus, the dispute may have a completely different outcome yet:

“We must take actions immediately instead of wasting time and energy in such an absurd useless fight! There are so many people who would need the money."
