Imreczeova FW19

Fashion shows of the Imreczeova brand are always a big surprise. You never quite know exactly what to expect. While the designer played with rich colors, stripes and interesting cutouts in the SS19 collection, her last winter and autumn collection was dominated by warm coats in bland gray, beige and black tones.

What will this year's autumn and winter be like according to designer Zdeňka Imreczeová? She revealed her ideas in Kotva at the Mercedes-Benz Prague Fashion Week. And we were totally excited by her collection!

A dazzling myriad of wearable dresses

The collection was dominated by A-shaped shirt dresses made of flowing materials in a mid-calf length. Interesting cuts were supplemented by exotic colors - from classic black through striking blue to modern kerosene.

We appreciate especially the wearability of the dresses. They are perfectly suitable not only for work, but also for formal occasions, all you have to do is add more opulent accessories. The designer chose to pair the luxury dresses with fashion booots or high stilettos, in most cases color-matched with the dress. The models are often complemented by quilted plaids.

Classic coats don't have to be boring!

The collection also brought great inspiration in the form of classic three-quarter coats, whose belts helped enhance the silhouette. The luxury coats are set in soft colors - sand, black or military green.

When creating her collection, Zdeňka Imreczeová took inspiration in cubism, glamour style, and her models even show a slight touch of futurism.

"The ending of the lengths of the plaids resembles unfolded cubes, as though seen in a single point of view from multiple sides. I created the cuts by unfolding geometric shapes and folding them back into my own simplified patterns,” she said.

Would you take your pick from this collection? We definitely would, and we're applauding the designer for her creativity!

Has the Czech republic gained its own Victoria Beckham?

First of all, I must say that Zdeňka Imreczeová really outdid herself this year. Her collection, although intended for autumn/winter 2019, doesn't lack colors and a playful take on the cut. Many other designers leave much to wish for in this respect, with their long black robes and the like.

I was most impressed by the leaf-green dress with a V-neckline and an A-skirt. It's simple, classic and guaranteed to be comfortable. Ideal for a busy business day concluded with a hot chocolate with Grand Marnier at Café Savoy…

Lastly I would like to mention the cubist-cut coat in a mustard-yellow shade. It's a classic with a light touch of timelessness and this is it! Looks like we have a new Czech Victoria Beckham here. Awesome work!
