In 2010, this luxury building was featured in the prestigious Phaidon Atlas of World Architecture on the list of the most interesting buildings of the decade. Since its founding by the founder and director of the center, Leoš Válka, new spaces have gradually developed in the DOX. DOX stayed up to date and evolved along with the artists.
In 2016, a stunning space on the roof was opened, the luxurious wooden zeppelin Gulliver (architect Martin Rajniš) where readings, discussions and other literature programs are held. This year, DOX will get a luxury hall.
This year's expansion of DOX was taken care of by the studio Petr Hájek architects. It is a top-notch multifunctional hall called DOX +. It has a capacity of up to 700 people and will serve as a theater and dance area with a cinema and conference room, with the possibility of organizing concerts. Starting this year, the theater ensemble "Farm in the Cave", led by director Viliam Dočolomanský, will be based here.
The new DOX + hall is complemented by a luxuriously refurbished 6-storey building in Poupětova street, which serves as an operational base, and the private university ARCHIP is located on three floors.
