At the Paris Fashion Week, the luxury brand Chanel presented 70 outfits for the next spring/summer season - and their runway show at the Grand Palais was absolutely breathtaking! The winner of the Elite Model Look world final 2014, Barbora Podzimková, who has been at the forefront of modeling for years, was one of the brightest stars on the catwalk. Check out how fabulous she looked!
If there is a duo that goes together inseparably, it's tweed and Chanel. One simply cannot exist without the other. The luxury SS2021 collection is no exception. As per tradition, it features divine classics represented by chic ensembles, jackets, tops or dresses that will fit you like a glove.
In addition to the more classic models, the brand also introduced a selection of bolder pieces. These include a red ensemble with a metallic effect on the chest, a top in all colors of the rainbow or a model studded with sequins from head to toe. You'll also find here a sexy bodycon jumpsuit adorned with a gold ribbon.
Of course, SS2021 also boasts what we love the most about Chanel. Beautiful dresses characterized by perfect craftsmanship, in which you'll be a lady and a star in every situation. Our fashion editorial staff instantly fell in love with a couple of these models: a cream-colored mini dress that could easily play a major role in a French movie, a white model in maxi length with a neckline all the way down to the waist or a dazzling dress with a fastening behind the neck.
If you don't have a model in sweet pink in your wardrobe yet, you should make sure to get one by spring. After all, it's widely known at least since the 80s that women look pretty in pink! Let yourselves be inspired by Chanel and get a pink top, jacket, pants or skirt - anything goes!
I've long considered Chanel a conservative way of emphasizing that I've really turned into an old hag. No matter what model of this brand I choose to wear, I end up looking like a lady thirty years my senior. However, this collection gives me the feeling that they might have hired a new creative soul who had trouble meeting the expectations of a traditional spinster and added a modern touch of youthful airiness. The fact that our world winner of the prestigious Schwarzkopf Elite Model Look competition, Bára Podzimková, also walked in this runway show gives me hope that Chanel might not be totally useless this year...
Take this model. I'm torn. Black is a good choice, no doubts there. But... If you don't wear a turtleneck underneath this, you can't be a day older than twenty. Or you have to spend hours a day in the gym, because without naturally perky or fake breasts and well-built shoulders, biceps and triceps, you'll only embarass yourselves.
Ooooh! This is good old Chanel. By which I mean it's awful. Granny's pants and a bag for a 50 year old woman. In this model, you can be sure you won't attract anyone's attention. You'll be as dull as the gray communist times, regardless of the color of your pants. Blue is great, but it's been wasted on this model.
Let me tell you something. The eighties were pretty amazing. When I saw this little dress, I remembered all the old Czech films made before the revolution. All that's missing is a perm and it would be perfect for a themed party...
Pants below the knees were a problem fifteen years ago and they're still a problem today. Plus, that totally weird jacket which completely lacks any shape or form... If you want to look like a box, suit yourselves. But don't come to me wearing this, because I'm going to stare at you and wonder if you're going through a gender reassignment.
Bottom line, I guess I have to say "nice try", but I hope that before they introduce their next collection, the creative directors will come to an agreement on whether they wish to stay conservative or invite current trends in. Because mixing the two approaches is a one way ticket to fashion hell.
