Chrysler Portal Luxurious Futurism
Chrysler prepared a brand new concept of a robotic minivan called Portal. First of all, it should be pointed out that it is an electric car that was designed to meet the requirement literally “inside out”. The car interior is very variable. When getting into Portal, the car will open its sliding doors automatically; it also uses face recognition to automatically set the seats to the favorite position of its frequent passengers. Many features can be controlled by voice, gestures, or via a mobile phone. Emphasis is placed on the luxurious design of the interior and most importantly on the car’s equipment.
Technologies and futurism
The luxurious design of the car follows the futurism style. Modern design, beautiful pure lines and maximum utilization of modern technologies make the car unique. The Portal concept is defined as a car that connects its passengers to social networks. The car also boasts a SAE Level 3 autonomous steering system that allows driving on highways without the assistance of the drivers thanks to a system of cameras, radars and sensors. The plan is to upgrade the steering system to levels 4 and 5 in the future.
Chrysler developed this car in cooperation with Samsung and Panasonic. The car offers full connectivity and recognizes individual drivers with the help of an integrated camera.
What do the numbers indicate?
This six-people futuristic car offers a travelling distance of 400 km. In case of an emergency, you can travel another 240 km with only 20 minutes of charging. All of this is made possible thanks to the use of direct-current charging and a 100kWH battery.
