Luxurious outfits, a magical atmosphere, romantic flower petals strewn over the floor, and a perfectly graceful dance performance against this backdrop. This was the stunning sight offered to the world at the Christian Dior fashion show, at which the iconic French brand revealed its trends for the SS19 season.
It’s clear for the Italians and French! Light and airy netting will be one of the hits of the season. It has started appearing in abundance on the runways at Milan and Paris Fashion Week, and it is entirely up to you whether it is black, white, khaki, nude or pink!
In addition to garments made of sheer fabrics and netting, the catwalk was overrun with heavenly gown in antique style, items full of neutral and delicate shades, pleats and gathered skirts. The luxurious SS19 collection also features tie-dyeing, ombré, floral and geometric patterns and sensual lace.
The collection plays with luxurious accessories and as in the past, Christian Dior has come up with popular and stylish saddle bags for SS19. With their miniature size, these luxurious handbags will oblige you to get rid of everything unnecessary and carry only the essential items. Let’s admit it, we are often surprised ourselves by all the stuff we carry around in our handbags. But with Christian Dior, you can minimise in style.
We are thrilled by the Christian Dior SS19 collection, in particular by the powder and nude gowns, whose tailoring and overall design will instantly transform you into an antique goddess with a dream body. Although we did have some reservations about certain outfits, we quite forgot about them thanks to the flawless dance performance and breath-taking atmosphere...
And it did so from the first moment of its amazing show in the heart of brilliant Paris. Maria Grazia Chiuri knew precisely what to reach for, and once again strictly dictated the latest trends!
Personally, I fell in love with the array of netting combined with simple bodysuits. My specific favourites were the nude one combined with the “saddle bag”, which was last trendy at the start of the millennium. But these miniature versions are to die for and the overall look of the outfit is super refreshing, which is more than welcome in spring. As a work outfit? Probably a bit hold, but for leisure time at a café or shopping with a friend in Pařížská Street – PERFECTLY CHIC!
Finally, I mustn’t forget the long, off-shoulder white dress, embellished with delicate ruffles. It reminds of rural Provence in summer, when one feels too lazy to do anything and just enjoys life to the fullest… The only thing missing is the scent of lavender all around.
