The extremely futuristic Chanel Fall-Winter 2017/18 Ready To Wear collection, which was introduced on the unique premises of the Grand Palais in Paris, will be available from September.
Have you ever thought how to dress for a trip into space? Luxury items from the Chanel label will provide the perfect accompaniment for an interplanetary expedition, bearing the signature of the designer Karl Lagerfeld. It is our pleasure to introduce a cosmic collection which will however also find pride of place here on planet Earth.
A collection with a futuristic tinge
Karl Lagerfeld is not one of those to indulge himself in history. He always in principle directs his gaze towards the bright future rather than looking back. And this is evident from the collections he designs for the luxury Chanel label. And this is not just any old future: Lagerfeld is probably greatly attracted by space. But what will the crew of his space ship in the coming collection look like?
All things shiny and glittering
It will certainly be packed full of all things shiny and glittering. Elegant trouser suits will glisten, high lunar boots will have a silver theme and will be contrasted by a black toe. Tweed tunics and coats with sharp lines will keep you warm on your trip into space. There will of course also be silver leather. Eveningwear will be represented by black-and-white chiffon complemented by some luxurious and traditional Chanel pearls.
