The popular luxury fashion house of Chanel presented its new collection, Cruise 2019, at Grand Palais in Paris. To us it looked really interesting at first glance. When looking at the exclusive models, I felt like being on a cruise ships. That´s because although the models are inspired by the sailor style, they are designed to perfectly fit into the urban environment.
It seems that caps are in again. After hats and baseball caps, next year we can look forward to berets, where there will be a great boom. Chanel of course interpreted this in a very simple manner and that is why they look so beautiful, fresh and stylish.
In addition to berets we can look forward to a simple combination of blue and white colours in the sailor style, which will bring a bit of fresh breath into your wardrobe. The combination of this popular pattern with various informal pieces is really chic.
Inscriptions, texts and logos became the favourite of perhaps the entire world. We can see them practically everywhere and in many new collections of popular luxury fashion houses. Chanel too, adheres to the trends and presents simple and elegant inscriptions that will win the heart of even those most conservatively minded.
Just look at the high-end model consisting of striped trousers with a poloneck, inscription ´La Pause´ and a red Chanel logo, and you will imagine the famous Coco Chanel, as she strolls along a beautiful coast.
But it would not be true Chanel, headed by the wonderful designer, Karl Lagerfeld, if the Cruise 2019 collection lacked tweed, the hallmark of this brand. Jackets, dresses, ensembles and other models once again did not disappoint, and looked amazing. The colour combinations are simple and can be combined with every bolder shade. The collection is dominated also by luxurious abstract patterns which may be seen in several colour combinations, creating a unique look.
Yes, there are all sorts of dresses here that I believe are not quite hitting the mark (for goodness sake why to push that infinitely toxic plastic into fashion, too?) But I don´t feel like writing about that today. I will keep that for some write-up next time round.
The reinvented sailor style hit the bull´s eye. Blue in combination with red and white, this is simply the old good classic. My attention was captured by the outfit consisting of striped trousers, a jumper with the inscription La Pausa and a beret with clamps. It is so loose, comfortable and chic! The ideal stuff for a romantic May date in the centre of the Petrin Hill at Nebozízek. Just think about it: a view of the entire Prague and a small "Eiffel tower" above!
Then there is the very sexy outfit that shows off the navel, white stockings (after 100 years these are back on course!), a beret and black flats. That sparkling belt around the naked waist is racy and will definitely not leave anyone cool. In this ensemble any lady will look like a modest devil-woman on her evening stroll to Tretter's Bar after a busy day...and why not?!
