Casey Affleck will appear in the trailer for the 53rd Karlovy Vary International Film Festival
The Karlovy Vary International Film Festival will begin on 29 June, in over two months. We are already looking forward to a range of excellent films and interesting guests. We don’t yet know who will attend the festival this year, but we do know who will appear in the trailer, Oscar winning actor Casey Affleck, who attended the film festival in Karlovy Vary last year.
The opening film is in honour of Miloš Forman
The opening film this year will be the legendary comedy by recently deceased director Miloš Forman - Lásky jedné plavovlásky (Loves of a Blonde). A concert will also be held in front of the Thermal Hotel during which guests will be able to listen to melodies from his films. Everyone will therefore be able to commemorate this unique director and his wonderful, timeless films, which people around the world know and love.
Jaroslav Hanzlík will be presented the award for his artistic contribution to Czech cinematography

Jiří Bartoška will present the award at this year’s festival to 70 year-old actor Jaroslav Hanzlík for his unique acting career and the film Bloudění by Antonín Máša and Jan Čuřík will be presented on this occasion.
