Great things have been happening in La Perla since designer Alessandra Bertuzzi took up the position of creative director last August. The leading luxury lingerie brand expanded its portfolio with custom tailored wedding dresses. The models were first revealed at the fashion show at Lanesborough Hotel in London.
Dresses from the Sartoria Bridal collection are sensual, romantic, bohemian and perfectly sublime. In their creation process, La Perla worked extensively with lace and fine embroidery, Swarovski crystals or pleating techniques.
Our favorite is the beautiful asymmetrical snow white dress that brought our minds back to the era of ancient Rome for a little while. A piece, which, on the contrary, left us completely unimpressed, is the overall with wide trousers and covered shoulders. Where and on what occasion would one even wear this remains a great mystery to us...
The whole collection features 18 models made exclusively by hand in a studio in Bologna, Italy. Precise craftmanship and refined details are the very thing the brand is based on, and their wedding dresses are no exception.
The silk night gowns and bathrobes decorated with lace, macrame and gold embroidery are pure perfection and there's only one way to describe them: this is what luxury looks like! If you're looking for underwear and fashion accessory in one package, you've just found it.
With a little help from the seductive and timeless pieces designed by La Perla, you will become a natural queen of seduction, which is more than desirable on your wedding night!
The luxury brand La Perla is known across the world for its sophisticated and elegant lingerie for women. If you are at least a bit like Charlotte from "Sex in the City", you know exactly what a proper lady like you needs...
As far as the wedding lingerie from this collection is concerned, my number one choice is obvious: the silk night gown with a tastefully decorated neckline featuring golden ornaments that resemble flowers. In short, a classic, boosted by a sexy cut that hides nothing of the wearer's curves. Motto: Easy to take off and comfortable to sleep in!
On the other hand, I find that the most boring piece is the dress on one shoulder. It looks like if someone had grabbed sweaty sheets in the sauna and wrapped them around the model. Is this for real?! That's a definite NO from me.
