Around the Czech-Slovak ball there is always a media buzz. No wonder, as it is one of the noblest balls in the Czech Republic, which is attended by a number of well-known celebrities not only from show business. The 11th year traditionally took place in the Art Nouveau premises of the Municipal House. What did the celebrities bring out on the red carpet this year, who succeeded and who missed?
The beauty left her animal at home and went out to a gala evening with her sister, who also looked incredibly good. The girls matched each other and looked absolutely divine. Distinctly yellow dresses flattered Karolina's figure and the train added a beautiful delicate detail that could not be overlooked. Simple make-up and hairstyle suit the model and she also chose diamond jewelry appropriately. In one word, beautiful!
The Czechoslovakian model is a stalwart of the ball and never misses it. This year, she bet on simplicity and it paid off. This type of dress can really only afford a woman with a slim figure, and that's Andrea. Gloves with ruffles could have been more discreet, but that wouldn't fit the model. The dress code of the evening was black tie/white tie and the black and white dress met it in all respects. However, the bow in her hair is a bit extra.
Miss World was another who bet on yellow with a train. Make-up, hairstyle, jewelry and dress all play together very nicely. The neckline is not vulgar, but delicate, which is welcomed at such an event. The dress is very well constructed in terms of cut and enhances the model's features. The model has a perfect figure, but many people might argue that her skeletal figure is over the line, but unfortunately this trend still holds on the world's catwalks.
The loyal model opted for a dress from a well-known Czech fashion designer. Thanks to the applications on the dress, its transparency wasn't vulgar at all and suited the ball perfectly. They're not the kind of dress that women typically reach for, but Andrea can pull it off. The makeup and hairstyle matched the asymmetric patterns on the dress very well.
Green simply suits redheads, and the actress clearly knows it. She sewed the velvet dress herself, as she revealed to us at the event. It's good she chose this material, as it can hide any tailoring flaws. However, there don't seem to be any at first glance. She could have chosen different shoes as they don't match the dress at all, but if she hid them all evening, they can be forgiven.
The singer doesn't appear in public much, and I think I understand why. She came to the ball in a dress that doesn't fit her at all, and makes her look a lot older than she really is. It takes a lot to look fifty at 29. Just because she has a surname that denotes an English royal palace doesn't mean she should look like a palace too.
The hostess was seen at the ball more than anyone else, as she led guests through the entire program. The dress fits her nicely, but in my opinion, the dress is too much. The deep neckline is unnecessarily vulgar for this event and from the waist down, it's a big mess. The combination of materials is not good and it looks cheap. A better option would definitely be without the lower ruffles, which detract from the grandeur of the dress instead of adding to it.
The actress and theatre director showed that she's not yellow like yellow. Next to Krystyna and Karolina, her dress seems more retro than trendy. The mustard dress doesn't suit her skin tone and figure. The appliqué on the front is not an added value, but rather detracts from the splendour. The pumps could have been in a different color, because this color is wrong. Trendy gloves in this version are more of a minus than a plus. What a pity.
The pharmacist bet on blue. I don't have much against the color, but what I don't like is the large application on the shoulder, which is additional. Not even a diamond ring that shone meters away could save it. She also chose the wrong writing in black color. If it was the same color as the dress, it would look better.
The actress and wife of the violinist Pavel Šporcl obviously confused the event. Floral dresses are not suitable at all for such an event. It seemed more as if she went to a spring or summer party and those are still a long way off…
